My internship experience surpassed my expectations. My main goal in choosing a company was to find a place where I could grow my technical abilities while at the same time being in a safe learning environment—and Intuit was that for me!
I worked on a financial dataset and predicted gain and loss in the market based on trading behaviors. As a data scientist, I was excited for this work since I can access real data and analyze phenomena from the real world while also making some real impact.
What I liked most about my internship at Intuit was the ownership, responsibility, and the progressive increase in difficulty.
I liked the autonomy my team and manager gave to me. I was treated like a full-timer, received extra mentoring, and got to write code that was meaningful and went into production.

“I'm developing an animation widget for TurboTax Online. It will be a generic React component hosted on the unified app/shell that will eventually be used to render all animations on TTO. I’m using React, Rollup, and Typescript, and I’m working closely with the TTO Experience Design team to understand their requirements. My widget will enable the designers to update animations themselves without having to go through a dev team.”

“I’ve been working in the Self-Help Platform team to conduct persona research. Personas are user archetypes that design teams use to illustrate different kinds of customers, including their goals, needs, and expectations. The TurboTax Community is technically migrating from a traditional Q&A platform to a modern discussion forum platform. It is unknown how the new forum experience will influence customers. We’re talking to active TurboTax Community users to better understand how (if at all) they view the two experiences differently. I’m also making provocations on the content design of QuickBooks Support articles to organize the information in a legible, clear, and consistent visual style.”
