Empowering Prosperity in the Communities We Serve

Today, the communities we serve face a myriad of challenges. Economic inequality continues to rise, exacerbated by the global pandemic that shut down economies around the world and drove consumers in and out of lockdowns. Many communities were disproportionately impacted and faced increased unemployment, food insecurity and healthcare challenges. Intuit is committed to promoting economic prosperity through job creation in underserved communities. Since our first Prosperity Hub opened in 2016, we have created thousands of new jobs, fostering economic stability in underserved communities when it was needed most.

Employee Story 1

What you are seeing is a generational breakdown of families in these communities. One of the biggest challenges is that kids are leaving because they can’t stay and grow their careers due to limited opportunities.

Intuit Prosperity Hub Program

Intuit launched our Prosperity Hubs program in 2016, with a mission to spark economic prosperity for people and communities in need by creating new jobs, as well as preparing people for jobs of the future and equipping entrepreneurs to start and build successful businesses. Intuit partners with each Prosperity Hub to deliver programs through its physical and virtual call centers, educational institutions, and small business success programming. Our goal continues to be creating financial opportunities to fuel the hopes of the people and communities we serve.

Economic Impact

A recent economic study by Deloitte* assessed the impact of Intuit's investments in Prosperity Hub communities. The study determined that Intuit’s investments have generated large societal returns in the form of hundreds of secondary jobs and approximately $102 million of augmented local economic activity. For every $1 Intuit has invested, these communities experienced as much as a $2.02 in positive economic impact through increased spend on local goods and services.
